Gabrielle Toscano; a native Violist of Long Island, NY has made her mark on Boston’s music scene since her arrival in 2008 to study with Roger Tapping, current violist of the Juilliard String Quartet at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA. After graduating with a B.A. in Viola Performance with honors Magna cum Laude from S.U.N.Y Stony Brook University and a Master’s Degree and Graduate Performance Diploma with Emphasis in String Pedagogy from the Longy School of Music, Gabrielle currently has a private violin, viola and piano studio of nearly 30 students and free-lances in orchestral and chamber ensembles throughout the Boston area and Cape Cod.

In addition to her 15 years of teaching experience, Gabrielle is a dramatic and passionate performer who can interpret any style from J.S Bach and Brahms up to Bartók and Penderecki in the 21st century. She has worked with many prominent musicians such as, the Emerson String Quartet, Katherine Murdock, Roger Tapping, Dimitri Murrath, Eric Rosenblith, Karen Ritscher, the Pacifica Quartet, Colin Carr and Gil Kalish.

Gabrielle has performed chamber, orchestral and solo concerts in Austria, Italy, Texas, California, Florida, Hawaii, Alaska, New York and Massachusetts. Ms. Toscano is currently working with Cape Symphony, Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra, Brockton Symphony, Boston New Music Initiative, the Chatham Chorale, Falmouth Chorale.

Through the combination of performance and education, Gabrielle continually interacts and gives back to her local communities, while broadening her repertoire and providing passionate community service.

Soprano, Jodie-Marie Fernandes, is a devoted learner and performer of music. An alumna of MIT, she regularly performs as a soloist with the MIT concert choir, most recently in Dvorak’s The Spectre’s Bride. Her other solo performances included Brahms’ German Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Poulenc's Stabat Mater and Mozart's / Süssmayer's Requiem. She previously performed the Mozart Requiem with Exultate Chorus and Orchestra in Minnesota where she was also a soloist and section leader at the National Shrine to and Cathedral of St. Paul.

An avid lover of Bach’s music, Ms. Fernandes joined the renowned and highly selective Bachakademie Stuttgart in 2014, performing the six Bach motets, occasionally as a soloist, with the JSB Ensemble and Orchestra in Germany and Tunisia. While a student at MIT, she maintained an active singing schedule as a soprano soloist with the MIT Concert Choir - her performances included the Mass in C by Beethoven, Mass in G minor by Vaughan Williams, and Mass in B-flat by Haydn, among others.

Jodie has always been passionate about promoting the benefits of the arts in society and in people's lives. She has volunteered as the Associate Business Director for the Twin City Voice Academy, a non-profit which provided opportunities for professional coachings, master classes, and public performances to pre-professional singers. Additionally, she has performed an advisory role for the chamber group, Radius Ensemble, during strategic planning exercises. Her professional career in the arts now involves her role as the Manager of Data Analysis at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.

Jodie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from MIT and a Graduate Performance Diploma in vocal performance from Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA.
